What is the Second Hand Scrapsale you ask?
Well, its a little bit of pure crafting joy!! In the scrapsale, we always have a WIDE variety of craft items both new and gently used, and all priced at garage sale prices. These items are brought in from crafters ALL over the state...and beyond! LET ME TELL YOU, THIS SALE GETS HUGE! Please note, the scrapsale is NOT limited to just scrapbooking and card making....we also except beading, knitting, wood crafts...just about anything CRAFT related. All items are tagged and priced by the seller. All items are in "as is" condition and are non-returnable. How big is the sale...one word- HUGE! We literally have THOUSANDS of items brought in for the sale.
THIS WILL BE A CASH ONLY SALE.
Credit Cards will be accepted- but will have a 2% processing fee, so please stop at the bank before you come!
Mark your calendars NOW, because the sale starts October 21st and runs through October 23rd.
We will have our Thursday Night Pre-Sale again too...That will be on Oct 20th from 5-8pm and will have a $10 CASH entry fee- which we donate to a local charity.
PLUS- for those true bargain hunters...the last day, Sunday, Oct. 23 that is a 1/2 price sale days! Yep- Oct. 23, everything left is HALF Price!!
Thursday 10/20 (presale w/ entry fee) 6:00-8:00
Friday 10/21: 10:00-6:00
Saturday 10/22: 10:00-3:00
Sunday 10/23: 11:00-3:00 and 1/2 price
***Please bring a couple of shopping totes to the sale, as those fill up quick! We will have some boxes on hand, but a tote is easier to shop with!***
Want to turn your Stash into Cash??
Anyone and everyone is welcome to put items in the sale! If you wish to sell items in the sale, (AKA-earn some Doodlebug CASH!!!) please prepare your items by having them securely & clearly marked with your 3 initials & the price, have all loose items in sealed bags or containers that will leave with the merchandise inside & NO paper clipped items please! You many want to add an extra piece of tape on top of your tags if you are using little stick on labels. Those seem to fall off each year since so many people are going through the sale! Writing on the bags with a sharpie works great too. Two gallon zip lock bags are great for your 12x12 paper or we have self-sealing 12.25x12.25 clear bags for sale here at the store.
There is a $10 Cash Vendor fee as well as a 15% processing fee on the items that you sell. You will earn STORE CREDIT for every dollar that you sell, minus the 15% processing fee. Trust us, it adds up quick too! People are always amazed at how much they sell!! When you use your earned credit, please note that coupons are not valid when using scrap sale credit and credit cannot be used to pay for retreats, guest designers or gift certificates. As in years past, your store credit will be valid 4 months from the date issued. (If it lasts that long!!) We try to issue your credit as soon as possible, but guarantee that it will be issued within 10 days of the final sales day.
If you would like to sell your items in the sale, you can drop off items from Friday Oct. 14 through Wednesday, Oct. 19th by 5:00pm.
If you choose to put things in the sale, all unsold items need to be picked up by Monday Oct. 24
Pick Up Days- Oct. 24- Oct. 31st.
You can start to pick up items after 12pm on MONDAY Oct 24., that gives us time to get most of it sorted back out.
All unclaimed items will be donated to a local school, charity crop, or charity group. The Doodlebug is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND, because of class schedules and classroom use, we will NOT be able to accept ANY early drop-offs this year or extended pick up. Please make arrangements if you will be out of town to have someone else drop off your items or pick them back up. We simply do not have the extra space to do that. Sorry, but thanks for understanding!
